English teacher job summary

We are looking for a talented and effective teacher who is passionate about teaching English Language and English Literature, keen to be part of a dedicated team and will want to inspire, enthuse and engage students every lesson to produce the highest quality work and achieve high academic standards. As well as being an excellent subject teacher, the successful applicant will be well-read and able to articulate their passion for the subject  and will be eager to contribute to the extra curricular work of the department and wider life of the academy.

Applications are welcome from experienced and early career teachers able to teach throughout the age and ability range. The academy offers an excellent induction for ECTs. We actively promote continuing professional development (see page 6) and encourage staff to pursue all enhancement programmes.
