Job summary

We are seeking an English specialist who is passionate about their subject and who shares our vision and commitment to academic scholarship and high expectations for behaviour and personal development. A desire to teach Film/Media at KS4 or KS5 would be advantageous, but not a necessity.  You will join our experienced team of creative and passionate teachers who provide opportunities for our young people to flourish academically and to develop a lifelong love of language and literature.  We contribute positively to the results of the school and provide students with the skills and knowledge necessary to take their next steps.

We can offer you dynamic and enthusiastic students, the opportunity to be part of a strong and supportive team, a high quality professional development programme and a whole school commitment to excellence and justice.

This role is suitable for a NQT and would also suit an experienced teacher.  We welcome and support NQTs with an excellent NQT program, tailored to individual needs, where you will be supported by a mentor.  Support and training is continued after the first year of teaching.    We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff to share this commitment.

References will automatically be requested for all shortlisted applicants prior to interview.  The successful applicant will be required to be DBS checked prior to taking up post.
