What skills and experience we're looking for

  • Recent UK experience of working with both small groups of students and individual students
  • Recent experience of GCSE English and Functional Skills English
  • Recent experience of working with 16-18 year old students is desirable
  • Dynamic, creative and motivated individual with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Experience of working with young people with English is desirable.
  • Individuals who want to inspire our students to develop their exam skills.

The candidate will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check and must be eligible to work in the UK.

  • Provide 1-1 and small group support to students with English
  • Build student confidence
  • Use motivational learning techniques
  • Understand how well your students are performing and act to help them improve.
  • Help students to complete their tasks, check they are working correctly and provide feedback to the teacher on their progress.
  • Supervise classes whilst the class undertake cover work if a lecturer is off sick
