Are you passionate about supporting children's education and personal development? We are seeking an Enhanced Teaching Assistant to join our team at Castleside Primary School. In this role, you will assist in the delivery of the national curriculum and help raise achievement standards by using your advanced knowledge and skills. You will work closely with teachers in planning, monitoring, assessing, and managing classes, delivering learning to individuals, small groups, and whole classes.
You will plan, prepare, and deliver learning activities, adapting them to meet individual needs, and assess and report on pupil progress. Your responsibilities include providing specialist support, offering guidance on social and emotional well-being, and facilitating inclusive participation in school activities. You will also support parents/carers in their child's learning and contribute to support plans and reviews.
Your role involves regular classroom cover, preparation and maintenance of materials, invigilation of exams, and supervision during educational visits and daily school activities. You will administer basic first aid and medications, ensure adherence to child protection procedures, and support pupils with personal care tasks.
To be considered, you must hold an NVQ Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent, and have GCSEs in English and Maths. Recent experience in an educational setting is essential, particularly with children with various needs. Strong communication skills, IT proficiency, and an understanding of child development and safeguarding are required. Desirable qualifications include a current First Aid certificate and experience in multiple educational settings.
