Job role: Teaching assistant

Working pattern: Full time: Monday to Friday 37 hours.
Contract type: Fixed term - 1 year
Full-time equivalent salary: Between £28,142 and £31,022

What skills and experience we're looking for

Experience of planning, preparing and delivering learning/activities to individuals, small groups and whole classes, as directed by the class teacher/Lead
Experience of participating in the planning and evaluation of learning activities.
Experience of assessing and reporting on pupil development, progress and attainment
Experience of a range of effective, positive behaviour management strategies
Experience of working with pupils with SEND, including implementing support plans and Education Health Care Plans
Experience of working with other professionals
Experience of actively promoting safeguarding procedures in school
Knowledge of the EYFS Framework and early years outcomes
Knowledge and understanding of child development
An understanding of safeguarding procedures and health and safety requirements
Willingness to attend to the medical needs of individuals
Use ICT effectively to support teaching and learning
Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing
Successful experience of working as a cooperative member of a team
Knowledge and understanding of education partnerships
Good organisation skills
Shows enthusiasm and warmth
Willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school
