What skills and experience we're looking for

  • Experience of planning, preparing and delivering learning/activities to individuals, small groups and whole classes, as directed by the class teacher/Lead
  • Experience of participating in the planning and evaluation of learning activities.
  • Experience of assessing and reporting on pupil development, progress and attainment
  • Experience of a range of effective, positive behaviour management strategies
  • Experience of working with pupils with SEND, including implementing support plans and Education Health Care Plans
  • Experience of working with other professionals
  • Experience of actively promoting safeguarding procedures in school
  • Knowledge of the EYFS Framework and early years outcomes
  • Knowledge and understanding of child development
  • An understanding of safeguarding procedures and health and safety requirements
  • Willingness to attend to the medical needs of individuals
  • Use ICT effectively to support teaching and learning
  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing
  • Successful experience of working as a cooperative member of a team
  • Knowledge and understanding of education partnerships
  • Good organisation skills
  • Shows enthusiasm and warmth
  • Willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school
