About the Role
The Estates Operative plays a vital role in maintaining safe, secure and well‑managed school environments across multiple sites. Working as part of the Central Trust Operations Team, you will act as a mobile specialist supporting schools with day‑to‑day site management, building operations, and maintenance tasks.
You will ensure buildings, grounds and facilities are well‑presented, compliant and fully operational by managing security, overseeing contractors, carrying out minor repairs, and supporting premises and cleaning staff. A key part of the role involves monitoring and maintaining essential systems such as heating, lighting, alarms and CCTV, as well as responding to emergencies and organising remedial actions when needed.
The role also includes planning and prioritising work, contributing to budget management, supporting health and safety compliance, and upholding safeguarding responsibilities. As a designated key holder, you will take responsibility for routine and emergency access to school premises. Travel between sites is required, along with the ability to work flexibly to meet Trust‑wide operational needs.
Please see the job description for further details.
