What skills and experience we're looking for
We’re looking for friendly, reliable Exam Invigilators to join the team at Plympton Academy to help support our busy exam periods. This is an important role where you’ll help create a calm and supportive environment that allows students to do their best.
You’ll help set up exam rooms, check exam packs, support students as they arrive, and supervise during the exams. Good communication skills are important, as you’ll be checking attendance and recording details. Please note this role involves being on your feet and walking around the exam venue for periods of time, so you’ll need a reasonable level of physical stamina.
This is a casual role, with hours varying between 8.00am and 3.00pm. Some sessions will last all day, while others may only be for part of the day. Full training will be provided before you begin.
What we’re looking for:
- Someone with good people skills, who can stay calm and firm without being confrontational
- Ideally, someone with experience working with secondary-age students or in a supervisory role
- A person who understands the importance of confidentiality and professionalism
- Someone who’s happy to support the Academy’s values and positive atmosphere
For full details of the role, please see the attached Job Description.
