Exam Invigilator job summary
Stowmarket High School are seeking to appoint a flexible, responsible and reliable invigilator to join our team and support the smooth and fair running of examinations throughout the school year. Experience is not essential as training and continued support will be given.
This is a casual, part-time position with flexible hours, making it ideal for those looking for work that can fit around other commitments. The hours will be variable between 8:15am and 4:00pm.
As an Exam Invigilator, you will help ensure examinations are conducted in a calm, secure and consistent environment. Duties will include:
- Preparing examination rooms and materials
- Supervising students during examinations
- Ensuring examination regulations and procedures are followed
- Monitoring students throughout the exam
- Dealing appropriately with any issues that arise
- Collection and securing examination papers at the end of each session
You will be:
- Reliable, punctual and well organised
- Calm and confident when working with young people
- Able to follow instructions and examination procedures carefully
- Able to maintain high levels of confidentiality

Stowmarket High School is situated in picturesque mid Suffolk with excellent commuter links to Cambridge, Ipswich and Norwich. We are an inclusive 11 – 18 Academy and part of Waveney Valley Academies Trust. 6th Form is currently not being offered. Construction of a new school is now complete on our current site and we have moved into our new state of the art school.
