Qualification
Essential:
Experience of invigilation is not required as training in the role and duties of an invigilator will be provided
Invigilators are required to declare if they have invigilated previously and whether they have any current maladministration/malpractice sanctions applied to them
Experience, understanding and knowledge
Essential:
Be confident and a reassuring presence to candidates in exam rooms
Be able to remain calm under pressure and work on own initiative to problem solve
Be able to give instructions and manage situations involving different groups of people
Be tactful, understand confidentiality and be committed to equal opportunities
Be reliable, punctual, flexible and readily available during main exam periods
Have effective communication skills and good interpersonal skills
Have excellent organisational skills, accuracy and attention to detail
Work well as part of a team or alone as necessary
Ability to work to predetermined instructions
Desirable:
Have basic IT skills (use of email, mobile phone messaging etc.)
