Help every examination run as it should.
At Cromwell Community College, pupils progress from primary education through to sixth form, and well-run examinations are an important part of helping them demonstrate what they have achieved. We are looking for composed, dependable Exam Invigilators who will help create a calm, orderly environment in which every candidate is treated fairly and examination standards are upheld. The role calls for close attention, clear communication and the confidence to follow detailed regulations while responding sensibly to unexpected situations. Working alongside colleagues across a range of examination settings, the successful candidates will make a valued contribution to a school community where high expectations, care and collective responsibility shape pupils’ experiences.
Summary of Key Responsibilities
- Prepare examination rooms and distribute papers and other required materials before candidates arrive.
- Supervise candidates entering, sitting and leaving examinations, giving clear instructions and maintaining active vigilance throughout.
- Complete attendance records, provide additional materials and ensure examinations begin and finish correctly.
- Collect, account for and return scripts securely, maintaining absolute confidentiality.
- Facilitate approved access arrangements during examinations, such as supporting candidates in smaller rooms or with additional requirements. Full training and guidance will be provided.
- Follow examination regulations and the academy’s safeguarding, behaviour and relevant operational policies at all times.
