What skills and experience we're looking for

Outwood Academy Haydock is an 11-16 academy, based in the former mining village of Haydock, within the large Merseyside town of St Helens and we are proud to say that our recent OFSTED inspection in September 2024 cited that the school is a 'Good' school.

We are seeking to appoint Exam Invigilators with the drive to contribute to an atmosphere of respect, recognition, and mutual support within the school.

This role is essential to the smooth running of the examination process. In addition to ensuring correct exam procedures are followed, you will be responsible for setting out and collecting exam papers and materials, admitting students to the exam hall / room and invigilating. Duties may also include reading and scribing for students.

Required to start as soon as possible, the successful candidate needs to be extremely well organised, have the ability to prioritise workload and ensure strict deadlines are met. The ability to work on your own initiative, be a role model to others and work within a team environment is key.

Applications are welcome from individuals with a good standard of education, who are seeking a work pattern to complement existing commitments or retired/semi-retired professionals. Full training will be given to successful applicants.
