What skills and experience we're looking for
Outwood Post 16 Centre and Outwood Academy Valley are seeking to recruit additional exam invigilators for the forthcoming exam period in 2026. The main exams period is May to June, with mock examinations in November and March, although you may be called upon to assist at other times of the year for additional examination sessions and training. We are looking to recruit as soon as possible to our existing invigilator team.
This role is essential to the smooth running of the examination process. In addition to ensuring correct exam procedures are followed, the successful applicants will be responsible for the setting out and collection of exam papers and materials, admitting students to the exam hall/room, invigilating during the exams and collating the exam papers to be sent off to the exam boards. Invigilators may also be called upon to scribe for individual students, eg reading exam questions and writing exam answers on behalf of students. Full training will be given to successful applicants.
These appointments are offered on a casual basis and, if appointed, you will join a bank of exam invigilators and you will be able to choose the number of hours you wish to work.
Applications are welcome from individuals with a good standard of education, who are seeking a work pattern to complement existing commitments or retired/semi-retired professionals.
If you are interested or have any further questions regarding this role, we invite you to contact Allison Briggs, Post 16 Exams Officer at a.briggs@p16worksop.outwood.com
