Exam Invigilator job summary

Sir Harry Smith Community College have a vacancy for a flexible and reliable individual to join our existing friendly and efficient team of Exam Invigilators. You will be required to supervise students during their examinations following Exam Board regulations to ensure the security of examination papers and adhering to Exam board procedures . Previous experience is not essential as full training will be provided.
The hours for this role are on a casual basis during exam periods, usually mornings/afternoons, Monday to Friday during term-time only.
Salary: Scale Grade 4, Scale point 4. Hourly rate £13.05
This role will require the successful candidate to support the Examinations Manager in the day-to-day operation of the examination timetable, including the set up of examination venues; seating plans, equipment and other examination related documentation together with the supervision of students ensuring the exam environment is fair, calm and in line with Exam Board Regulations. The successful candidate will:
Have a good educational background with GCSE equivalent in English Language and Maths.
Is firm but fair with a keen eye for detail and excellent organisational skills
Be discreet and able to maintain confidentiality
Work well as part of a committed team of Exam Invigilators and work flexibly within the examination timetable, covering unforeseen circumstances
