Exam Invigilator job summary

We are looking for reliable, flexible and conscientious individuals to add to our team of Invigilators to run and administer public and internal examinations and computer based assessments. You do not need previous examination experience, although an understanding of the importance and formality of the examination procedure and/or experience in managing groups of young people would be helpful. We are particularly keen to hear from caring and reassuring invigilators to support our students with Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND) with their examinations, such as acting as a reader and/or a scribe.

This vacancy is a fixed term, casual hours contract. Subject to performance and availability, more opportunities for invigilating may arise in the future.

Applicants should:

  • Be punctual, organised, calm, flexible, efficient and able to deal with students in a professional and formal manner.
  • Be able to work as part of a team and to set procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times.

Successful applicants will:

  • Need to have a DBS check.
  • Receive training.
  • Receive £14 per hour (plus statutory holiday) - Head Invigilator
  • Receive £12 per hour (plus statutory holiday) - Invigilator
