Batley Multi Academy Trust’s sole purpose is to provide a great education for Primary and Secondary learners throughout a local family of schools. The Trust is passionately committed to the communities of Batley, Birstall, Dewsbury and our surrounding areas, serving our local learners and their families in order to secure excellent educational outcomes, partnered with high aspirations. Batley Multi Academy Trust currently comprises Batley Girls’ High School, Upper Batley High School, Batley Grammar School, Healey Junior, Infant and Nursery School, Field Lane Junior, Infant and Nursery School and Manorfield Infant and Nursery School. We provide high quality education for all young people. This collaboration enables us to share expertise, knowledge and best practice to ensure academic and pastoral excellence throughout all of our schools, with all schools embracing the same overall ethos and values, whilst maintaining their own unique characters.

Upper Batley High School was identified as a Beacon School in the Northern Challenge report due to the excellent progress our disadvantaged learners make. We also hold the Gold Award for Mental Health & Wellbeing, the PSHCE Charter Mark, the Careers Quality Standard and we are a lead school within the Kirklees Careers Hub. We are one of only a few schools in the UK to achieve 100% in all Gatsby benchmarks. Ofsted identified our careers programme as a “real strength of the school” and we are in the top 14% of all schools nationally.

Our 11-16 school is multi-cultural and located close to the town centre, within easy access of the motorway network. Our work is focused on developing the unique potential of every individual whilst working towards becoming an outstanding educational organisation. We are a vibrant, rich and exciting learning community with unique and inspiring opportunities inside and outside the classroom.

We are seeking to appoint a reliable, organised individual with excellent interpersonal skills to join our current team of Exam Invigilators. The role will involve ensuring the smooth running of examinations in accordance with exam board guidelines and will be for either whole or part day sessions. The successful candidates will be required to ensure all aspects of examination procedures are followed including setting out papers, supervising candidates and collating papers at the end of examinations. You may also be required to read or scribe for learners who have access arrangements. If you can demonstrate these qualities and can be flexible with availability, then our team would be very pleased to hear from you.

Employment will be on a casual basis with the majority of the work being offered in January, March, May, June and November of each year. Full training will be provided.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive forward thinking Trust, who in return for your commitment and hard work, will support you to achieve your own career goals and aspirations.
