EXAM INVIGILATORS
Required for February 2022 onwards
Casual work paid at an hourly rate of £10.10
(Inclusive of Holiday Pay)
We are looking to expand our team of Exam Invigilators and to increase the support available for students requiring assistance during public and school based examination periods.
We require Invigilators to come into school on a flexible basis as and when required (casual work paid hourly) to monitor students taking examinations either in the main hall or acting as readers and scribes on a 1:1 or small group basis. The role also involves supporting the Exams Officer with the setting up of the examinations areas, distributing and collecting resources and exams papers, escorting students should they need to leave exams for personal reasons, and the reporting of student conduct that is of concern.
Our ideal candidates will…
• be flexible in their availability to support the school during peak examination periods and also for internal assessments
• be willing to undertake training and adhere to rules and regulations set out by the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ)
• relate well to students and be confident to engage with them and give directions for the smooth running of examinations
• be able to act as a scribe or reader for students requiring additional support for taking exams
• be able to work well as part of a team
