What skills and experience we're looking for

King James I Academy is seeking to appoint an Examinations Officer to commence work in September 2025. This is due to the retirement of the current postholder. The successful candidate will be a professional, highly organised individual who will take a lead role in ensuring that both internal and external examinations are appropriately administered in line with regulations. The role would suit someone with strong administration, communication and interpersonal skills, as well as being able to use their own initiative, be flexible, and work under pressure, and who wishes to develop these skills further and apply them in a school setting.

The school joined Eden Learning Trust in December 2023 and has also benefitted from the PSBP programme; enabling a move to new state of the art facilities in January 2015. Student recruitment is consistently strong and the Academy has been oversubscribed in Year 7 for each of the last 5 years. This is also the case for September 2024, whilst KS5 numbers also increasing.
