What skills and experience we're looking for
Contract: Casual Hourly pay rate: £12.26 per hour
The Hastings Academy is looking to recruit Exam Invigilators to join our existing invigilation team. This is a casual contract, so hours and days will vary dependent on need. However, availability between the hours of 8.00am and 4.00pm is required. Examinations take place throughout the academic year, starting in October and ending with the GCSE examinations in May and June.
Under the guidance of the Exams and Outcomes Manager, Exam Invigilators provide support for internal and external examinations at the Academy.
The role involves:· assisting with the set up of exam rooms· patrolling exam rooms during exams and monitoring students behaviour· collecting exam papers at the end of exams· ensuring compliance with statutory policies related to the role
Experience of working in a school or with young people would be an advantage, however, full training for the role will be provided. Our ideal candidate will be professional and flexible, with good spoken and written English. Candidates should be reliable and possess a calm but firm approach. They should be able to work as part of a team as well as on their own initiative.
