Join a school where your expertise will directly influence student achievement and whole-school success. As our Exams Officer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that high-quality data drives informed decision-making and that examinations are delivered with professionalism, precision and care.
This is an exciting opportunity for an analytical and highly organised individual who enjoys variety, responsibility and the satisfaction of making a real impact. Working closely with senior leaders, you will lead on data management, performance analysis, statutory returns and examinations, providing the insights that help shape strategic priorities and improve outcomes for students.
In return, you will join a supportive and collaborative team that values innovation, continuous improvement and professional development. You will have the opportunity to further develop your expertise, contribute to whole-school initiatives and play a key role at the heart of a thriving school community. If you are passionate about accuracy, problem-solving and delivering excellence, we would love to hear from you.
The Team
As part of the wider Business Support Team, the Exams Officers works collaboratively with colleagues across Operations, Reception and Administration to provide the essential services that keep the Academy running effectively every day. Together, we are a highly supportive team that works closely, shares expertise and steps in to help one another whenever needed. While much of our work takes place behind the scenes, it is central to the success of the Academy, with supporting students at the heart of everything we do.
Our collective responsibilities underpin every aspect of school operations, from managing student and parent data, driving parental engagement and coordinating admissions, to delivering statutory census returns, government submissions and funding-related processes that directly impact the resources available to our students. The quality and accuracy of our work support informed decision-making, regulatory compliance and the smooth running of the Academy.
This is a role for someone who enjoys variety, collaboration and being part of a team that genuinely makes a difference. In addition to data and examinations responsibilities, members of the Business Support Team contribute to the wider life of the Academy. This includes supporting key evening events such as Parents' Evenings, Open Evenings and shows that are typically held until 7.00pm two or three times per term, undertaking first aid training to help support student welfare, and participating in student break-time duties. These shared responsibilities reflect our team ethos: we work together, support one another and remain visible and approachable members of the school community. If you are looking for a rewarding role within a friendly, dedicated and collaborative department where your contribution is valued and your work has a real impact on students' lives, we would love to welcome you to our team.

We have already undergone significant change in recent years under new leadership and our goals for further development remain ambitious. We work relentlessly in providing a high quality broad and balanced curriculum with stimulating learning experiences for all our students. This is underpinned by our strong sense of common purpose that is palpable in the Academy’s day to day operation. We aim to actively encourage students to participate in all areas of academy life, motivating and inspiring them to unlock their potential and realise their ambitions. Our staff have an uncompromising commitment to this and work closely with one another to support and develop students as well as one another.
In April 2023 the Academy was judged to be GOOD in all areas by OFSTED, who highlighted that:
“Leaders have brought about significant improvement at this school. They focus on providing an ambitious curriculum for all pupils, including those with special educational needs and / or disabilities (SEND)”.
“Leaders have raised their expectations of pupils’ behaviour and conduct, which is having a positive impact. Pupils behave very well in lessons. During lesson changeover times and at breaktimes, the school is calm and orderly”.
