Exams Officer job summary

We are seeking a highly organised, proactive and detail-oriented Exams Officer to lead and manage all aspects of the school's examinations process.

As Exams Officer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of both internal and external examinations, maintaining full compliance with Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) regulations and awarding body requirements. Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, Heads of Department, SENDCo, teaching staff and external examination boards, you will oversee examination entries, timetables, access arrangements, invigilation, results and post-results services.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day administration of examinations, managing examination data and supporting the school's use of Arbor and 4Matrix. You will supervise invigilators, maintain secure examination procedures and provide accurate reporting and analysis to support school improvement and student outcomes.

This role requires excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively under pressure, particularly during peak examination periods. You will be a confident communicator with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, parents and external stakeholders while ensuring deadlines are consistently met.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive and ambitious school community where your work will directly contribute to ensuring students are able to demonstrate their achievements in a professional, compliant and well-managed examination environment.
