What skills and experience we're looking for
Do you have experience of working with young people aged 11 – 18?
We are looking to appoint a well organised exam officer with a positive ‘can-do’ attitude to ensure that our students receive the support that they need.
You will also have responsibility for leading the development of the careers across the school, including giving advice to students, especially in year 11. You will also lead the school approach to exams, including entering students into exams, invigilating exams, managing the processes and line managing a team of invigilators.
This is a permanent full-time role, starting from 2 September 2024. You will be working 37 hours per week during the term time with an additional 1 week to be worked in the summer to cover exams results week.

You will:
- Be capable of building excellent relationships with teaching and support staff, as well as the students.
- Knowledge of the examination process and requirements for schools would be desirable.
- Be educated to A level or equivalent, and have experience of working in a school based environment.
- Make arrangements for students taking exanimations that have requirements that are out of the ordinary.
- Recruit, train and monitor external invigilators for each series of examination sessions.
- Be highly organised and self-motivated and be able to demonstrate significant experience of administration.
- Work closely with our senior leaders to ensure the effective and efficient processing of examinations from entry through to results.
- Coordinate a careers programme for all students, including events in and out of school.
