About the Role

Oak Learning Partnership Trust is seeking an exceptional Executive Director of Education (Secondary) to provide strategic leadership across all of our schools but with a core focus on secondary provision. Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a pivotal role at the heart of our mission: delivering excellence through inclusion at the heart of the Trust.

The Executive Director of Education (Secondary) will:

  • Provide oversight of strategic leadership, defining and delivering the vision and objectives of our Trust.
  • Lead Trust-wide educational improvements across all secondary schools while line-managing a cluster of schools.
  • Develop strong alignment across our family of schools, while creating space for creativity and the sharing of best practice.
  • Ensure each school has a robust school improvement plan, with appropriate support and evaluation in place.
  • Create and sustain a collaborative, aspirational and innovative culture of learning across our Trust.
  • Lead systems of monitoring and intervention that enable students to thrive and staff to flourish.
  • Embed collaboration and joint working so leadership at all levels contributes directly to school improvement, student outcomes and effective business operations.
  • Set high educational standards, shaping the curriculum and broader pupil experience, while sharing expertise and building capacity across schools.
  • Contribute to work with external school improvement and support the growth of our trust.

About You

We are seeking a leader who has:

  • A proven track record of successful headship or senior executive leadership in secondary education.
  • Deep expertise in school improvement, curriculum and pedagogy, with a passion for inclusive practice and a relentless focus on improving outcomes.
  • The ability to inspire, influence and support leaders and teams to create cultures where every pupil thrives.
  • Strategic vision, resilience, and a relentless commitment to equity and excellence.
