Further details about the role

The governing board of The North Wolds Federation are seeking to appoint an Executive Head Teacher for September 2025.

Our Federation is currently made up of two schools, Market Rasen C of E Primary School and Nettleton Community Primary School, who come together as a cohesive team with a shared vision, policies and curriculum whilst still maintaining their own unique characters.

Both schools have benefited from excellent leadership, having had the same Executive Headteacher since the formation of the Federation. We have effective, enthusiastic and committed staff teams, many of whom have been with us for a long time. Our new Headteacher will need to have a clear vision of excellence in primary education with the ability to think strategically and lead the Federation through the next exciting phase of its development and beyond. We are looking for an experienced Leader, with drive and enthusiasm, who can continue the fantastic work that staff are doing and take our schools forward into the future.

Our ideal candidate would be approachable and fair, visible around schools, well organised and wise. They will be someone who will support our school values and the true feeling of family that we have within our schools whilst also raising attainment and helping to develop our children into safe, happy and well rounded individuals. They should also be focused on maintaining the strengths that we know we have built up over many years of excellent executive leadership, governance and partnership.

Can you continue this process, to cultivate our Federation’s values, raise attainment and give every child in The North Wolds Federation the best possible start in life?

As a governing board, we are immensely proud of both schools, our children and staff. To truly appreciate what we have to offer, we warmly invite you to come and visit us for an informal chat and good look around.

Application forms are available via both school websites or are attached as an appendix to this advert.

Applications should be completed in line with the personal specification and forwarded to: catherine.fussey@marketrasen.lincs.sch.uk

Closing date: Friday 7th March 2025
