What skills and experience we're looking for
The role
A fantastic opportunity for an experienced, energetic, enthusiastic and committed executive headteacher to join our happy, nurturing and successful school team at the Park Hill Thorns Primary Federation. The successful applicant will work across both our sites - Thorns Infant and Park Hill Junior - two LA maintained schools (one mile apart) in the historic town of Kenilworth in Warwickshire. We also have a Specialist Resource Provision for Language and Communication at our Park Hill site and run the out of school provision for our junior pupils.
The post is a full-time permanent position from 1st September 2025.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is an experienced headteacher; or is an experienced deputy head who has worked across multiple settings
- Can actively and successfully manage the complexities of a two-site federation including a specialist resource provision and wraparound care
- Is progressive and highly motivated
- Puts safeguarding at the heart of everything they do and has Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) or Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL) experience
- Has a commitment to an imaginative, inspiring and challenging curriculum which supports all children and staff to achieve the highest standards
- Can continue to develop our whole staff team to provide the best curriculum and safest environments in which all children learn and thrive, to include sharing resources, staff knowledge and expertise, and financial management
- Has excellent organisation and interpersonal skills
