Extended Day Support Assistant job summary

The role involves supervising pupils during activities, snack times and transitions while ensuring their health, safety and safeguarding at all times. It includes helping to organise and lead age‑appropriate activities that promote cooperation, positive interaction and inclusion, as well as managing behaviour in line with the school’s policy using calm, consistent and positive approaches. The post holder also supports daily operations by setting up and clearing resources and maintaining accurate attendance records, while building strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents and reporting any welfare concerns to the safeguarding lead.
