Bradford Academy is seeking an ambitious, values-driven Assistant Principal to join our leadership team at an exciting point to continue building on the strength of our ambitious Early Years Provision for 2-5 year olds. This is a full-time role (L7 - 10) with a 0.5 teaching commitment in Reception.

This role would suit an experienced Assistant Principal seeking a new challenge, or an ambitious Middle Leader ready to step into their first Senior Leadership role. We are looking for a leader with a proven track record of impact, who is ready to translate vision into practice and drive sustained school improvement.

The Assistant Principal will play a pivotal role in translating the school’s vision into consistent, high-quality practice. A key focus of the role is ensuring children in the Early Years continue to receive the best start, alongside driving improvements in teaching, curriculum, behaviour and inclusion across the school.

Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, the successful candidate will lead on school improvement priorities, coach and develop staff, and ensure systems are embedded effectively. The role also includes contributing to the strategic and operational leadership of the school.

We are looking for a positive, adaptable and solution-focused leader with strong expertise in early reading and continuous provision, a commitment to inclusion, and a proven track record of improving teaching and learning.

In return, we offer a strong commitment to professional development, staff wellbeing, and the opportunity to join a supportive and forward-thinking team, with a commitment to high expectations and success for all.

Visits are strongly encouraged. Please call the school office to book a place on one of our tours which will be held:

4:00pm to 5:00pm on Thursday 14th May

Bradford Academy ‘continues to be good. Relationships between adults and pupils and between pupils are cordial and open. This means that there is an atmosphere of mutual respect and care in the school. This has a very positive impact on learning and pupils’ progress’. Ofsted 2017

We have recently celebrated our tenth anniversary and continue to be judged by Ofsted as a ‘good school’. Having expanded our age range with Learners from the ages of 2 to 19, you will appreciate that this is no mean feat and we don’t sit still. We invest in supporting our Learners and our staff - we know that they are integral to our success.

Bradford holds a vibrant, diverse community and possesses unique character. Its diversity reflects Britain. The Academy plays an important part in preparing young people for life in our complex society. Learners are prepared to be active participants in their own communities through developing relationships and understanding the importance of exercising their voice. We hold this dear and believe it to be a major reason behind our success. We are developing leaders for the future; both staff and Learners. If you share our drive to make the school outstanding, make things happen and want to place your efforts where employees and students are known, valued and understood then we want to hear from you.
