About the Role

Byron Wood Primary Academy is seeking a passionate and dedicated EYFS Class Teacher to join our vibrant team on a one-year maternity cover. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire young learners in a nurturing, inclusive environment where every child is encouraged to thrive.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality, engaging EYFS teaching that supports all learners
  • Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Plan and assess learning in line with EYFS curriculum and individual needs
  • Promote positive behaviour and uphold the academy’s values
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external agencies
  • Support pupils with SEND through adaptive and inclusive strategies
  • Contribute to the wider life of the academy, including enrichment activities

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience or strong interest in EYFS teaching
  • A reflective, enthusiastic approach to classroom practice
  • High expectations for all pupils and a commitment to inclusion
