What skills and experience we're looking for
Hillcrest Academy is seeking to recruit an inspirational colleague for the role of EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) Class Teacher. This is a key role within our Academy, with the successful candidate responsible for nurturing and inspiring young learners to develop across all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage, fostering a love of learning through play, exploration, and meaningful experiences. This opportunity is open to both Early Career Teachers and more experienced colleagues.
Potential applicants should:
be either:
- A trainee teacher who is successfully completing placement(s) teaching (applicants currently in training).
or:
- A colleague with a successful record of teaching with strong examination results at one or more key stages (applicants who have already gained Qualified Teacher Status).
Applicants should also have:
- A detailed knowledge of current developments in education including the effective use of the Pupil Premium.
- The ability to put vision into practice.

** Hillcrest Academy is a larger-than-average primary school located in Leeds, West Yorkshire. The school provides places for around 400 pupils aged 3-11. Hillcrest Academy is part of the GORSE Academies Trust, which is responsible for the running of around eight schools in the local area, at both primary and secondary level.
