Mesty Croft Academy is a large, two form entry primary school in the heart of Wednesbury in the West Midlands. The school was originally built by the Wednesbury School Board in February, 1880. It was later extended in 1931, before being replaced by a new build in 1981. The school converted to an Academy in April 2012.
We have a 39 place morning and afternoon Nursery and as a two form entry school have a maximum number of 30 pupils per class, 60 per year group. We offer a Breakfast Club from 7.30am each morning and host a variety of After School Clubs including Choir, Art, School Newspaper, Explorers, Hockey, Cricket, Netball and Multi Sports.
Mesty Croft offers a broad and balanced curriculum that provides rich and varied learning opportunities for all pupils. Visits, visitors and events are frequent and aim to inspire our next generation to believe and achieve. Our aims for our children are to achieve at the very least in line with national expectations at the end of EYFS, KS1 and KS2 and ultimately to leave us 'secondary ready'.
