An exciting opportunity has arisen at Fulbridge Academy for an EYFS Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed practitioner who understands how young children learn and develop. You will help to provide a safe, engaging and nurturing environment in which every child can develop, learn and thrive.

Previous experience of working within the EYFS and a secure understanding of effective early years practice are essential.

Applicants should hold HLTA status or an appropriate Level 4 qualification, or be willing to work towards this.

The role

Working alongside the class teacher and wider EYFS team, you will:

• organise and manage stimulating indoor and outdoor learning environments and continuous provision;

• support the planning and delivery of engaging learning opportunities through purposeful play, adult led teaching and continuous provision, meeting the needs and interests of the children;

• lead planned learning activities for individuals, groups and the whole class, including providing class cover when required, under the direction of the teacher;

• support the development of children’s communication and language, early reading, phonics, writing and early mathematical skills;

• observe and assess children’s learning and development, providing regular and detailed feedback about their achievements, progress and next steps;

• adapt and deliver learning activities for individual children and small groups, including children with SEND or additional needs;

• promote children’s independence, confidence, emotional development and positive relationships;

• encourage inclusion and ensure that every child is able to participate fully;

• support children with their personal care needs, where required;

• prioritise the safeguarding, welfare and wellbeing of children at all times;

• develop and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, parents and carers; and

• attend relevant meetings, training and planning sessions as required.
