Little Heaton CE Primary School is seeking a passionate, nurturing and determined EYFS teacher to join us at a truly important time in our school’s journey.
We are a school that is improving, evolving and building something special and we are looking for someone who wants to be part of that journey. This is not a “sit back and maintain” role. This is a chance to help shape the future of our provision, our environment and the life chances of our children.
This role will be in our EYFS/Year 1 class initially, moving to EYFS only the following year (depending on cohort numbers).
Why Little Heaton?
Because this is a school where you can make a real difference.
Little Heaton is on a journey of improvement, with a clear vision, strong leadership and a team committed to getting it right for every child. We are building calm classrooms, language-rich environments and consistent routines that help children feel safe, ready to learn and proud of their achievements.
This is a school where:
- Inclusion is not an add-on, it is at the heart of everything we do
- Relationships with children and families matter
- Early Years is valued as the foundation for future success
- You will be part of a team working together to improve education and opportunities for all pupils
If you want to be part of shaping provision, strengthening practice and creating an environment where children flourish from the very start of their school journey, Little Heaton is the place to do it.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a strong understanding of the EYFS Framework and child development
- Believes deeply that all children can achieve
- Is passionate about early language, phonics and foundational learning
- Can create a purposeful, engaging and language-rich environment
- Has high expectations for behaviour, independence and routines
- Can support children with SEND and social communication needs
- Is calm, consistent and nurturing, while maintaining clear boundaries
- Is reflective, proactive and committed to professional growth
- Wants to be part of a school that is developing and improving
Desirable:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience teaching in EYFS
- Experience supporting children with additional needs
