South Wootton Infant School is a Local Authority school, situated on the outskirts of King’s Lynn in extensive, landscaped grounds. Rated GOOD by Ofsted, we are a two-form entry infant school with approximately 180 children on roll. The majority of our children feed into South Wootton Junior school, with whom we are federated.

At South Wootton Federation, our vision is to nurture a community across our two schools where every child is empowered to grow into a confident, compassionate, and capable individual, giving them the opportunity to achieve their full potential, in a safe, supportive and inclusive environment.

We aim to develop:

Welcoming, confident and kind individuals, who celebrate similarities and differences with others.

Engaged, motivated and independent learners, who make informed choices.

Confidence to believe in themselves and their abilities.

A love for learning that inspires curiosity, creativity, and lifelong growth.

Respect for people, environments, and diversity, exercise responsibility in their choices and actions, and demonstrate resilience by meeting challenges with perseverance.

Empathy and care for others, fostering kindness and understanding.

As governors, we care and are committed to supporting the school in delivering a high-quality education that reflects these values. We work in partnership with staff, families, and the wider community to ensure that every child is given the tools, encouragement, and opportunities to thrive - academically, socially, and emotionally.

South Wootton Infant School is a great place to work with a positive and inclusive ethos, fabulous children and a very supportive staff and governors.

Through our child-centred approach, we aim to provide a rich and varied curriculum which meets the needs of every child. We have an excellent pastoral team who provide meaningful and effective support for children and their families.

If you:

*Are committed to providing the very best experience of education to the child in your care

*Understand and practice the skills needed to develop and sustain meaningful relationships with the whole school community

*Take time to celebrate successes and then think ‘What next?’

*Are organised, conscientious and professional, whilst maintaining a caring attitude and good sense of humour

Then we would love to hear from you!

We can offer:

*A great team to work with and fabulous children!

*Supportive leadership and management

*Determination to provide the very best education for the whole child

*Opportunities for career development
