What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for an experienced and passionate EYFS Leader to join Whyteleafe Primary School on a part-time, temporary basis to cover maternity leave until December 2025. This is an out-of-class leadership role, providing the opportunity to shape and drive the Early Years provision, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our youngest learners. Your opportunity

This role is ideal for a highly experienced EYFS educator with strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills, dedicated to maintaining excellence in early years education.

What we are looking for

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree
  • Proven track record as a good or outstanding teacher
  • Experience in leading professional development and supporting improvements in teaching and learning
  • Strong data analysis skills to inform planning and enhance outcomes
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and support staff
  • A commitment to continuous professional development, staying up to date with curriculum and teaching advancements
  • Resilience, motivation, and a team-focused approach, aligning with the school’s values and vision
  • A passion for early years education, ensuring the best outcomes for every child
