At St Barnabas Multi Academy Trust, we believe the early years are where the magic begins. We are expanding our passionate nursery team within our Bodmin Hub and looking for two creative, high-energy Level 3 Teaching Assistants to help our little learners thrive.
Choose the Role That Fits You:
We are seeking adaptable and enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistants to join our early years team. Working with children across our pre-school setting (ages 12 months to 5 years), you will support play-based learning, key developmental milestones, sensory play, and outdoor discovery while building strong, trusted relationships with our children and families.
We have both Permanent (Part-Time) and Fixed-Term Maternity Cover (Full-Time) opportunities available.
Part-Time (Permanent): 18.75 hours per week (Monday to Wednesday, 8:35am - 3:20pm, Daily schedules include a 30-minute unpaid break)
Full-Time (Fixed-Term Maternity Cover): 33.6 hours per week (Monday to Friday, with daily working patterns outlined below):
Monday: 8:35am - 3:20pm
Tuesday: 8:00am - 4:15pm
Wednesday: 8:35am - 3:20pm
Thursday: 8:35am - 4:15pm
Friday: 8:35am - 3:20pm (Daily schedules include a 30-minute unpaid break)

About You

Qualifications: A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Childcare, NCFE CACHE Level 3, or equivalent).
Passion & Energy: A genuine love for early child development, whether you're building blanket forts with toddlers or leading outdoor exploration with pre-schoolers.
Strong Teamwork: A collaborative approach, flexibility, and a positive, can-do attitude.
Warm Communication: The ability to engage warmly and effectively with children, colleagues, and parents alike.
