EYFS Level 3 Teaching Assistant job summary

St Mabyn C of E School is looking to appoint a highly motivated and talented Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our team. You will work alongside our Class 1 staff to support and extend the children’s learning throughout the early years’ foundation stage. (This role is working in a mixed age class with Nursery-Year 2) The role requires someone who is passionate about children’s learning and who has a rich knowledge and understanding of how pupils learn within the EYFS. This role is a part time, permanent contract, working 5 days per week from 8.45am to 3.15pm with a 30 minute lunch unpaid lunch break. The role is 30 hours per week term time only.

We are looking for someone who:

is passionate about children’s learning

has a rich knowledge and understanding of the EYFS framework and how pupils learn

is eager to expand their knowledge, skills and understanding of teaching practices

has experience of working within an Early Years environment

has experience of setting up and managing groups of pupils during focused learning activities

has experience in supporting teaching and learning for groups of pupils

- Preferred: experience delivering RWI phonics
