EYFS Nursery Nurse Room Leader/Teaching Assistant job summary

A fantastic opportunity in our Nursery working with 2-year-olds!

We are seeking a talented, caring and dedicated Nursery Nurse Room Leader (level 3 or above EYFS qualified) to join our team, in our Springbank Nursery for 2-year-olds. To work effectively as part of the team, providing a stimulating and caring environment for pre-school children. Supporting team members to provide a high standard of care and education.

The successful candidate will:

Have experience in working within a Nursery setting and have an appropriate ‘full and relevant level 3 qualification for Early Years’ (see relevant qualifications here: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/early-years-qualifications-finder and https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/eyfs-staffchildratios-dfe-approved-qualifications ).

Be the main contact for the designated Nursery room, working alongside a team of Practitioners to ensure that the room operates smoothly and provides a safe environment for the children within the setting.

Plan, prepare and participate in a range of activities in line with the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Service) Framework, to promote each child’s physical, intellectual and emotional needs to enable them to reach their full potential.

Implement activities which encourage linguistic and social interaction between children and their carers.

Support the Nursery Practitioners and children in the implementation and evaluation of planning and progress.

Be a key worker for a group of children by observing, monitoring and recording each individual’s development.

Help children acquire self-help skills including dressing, feeding, toilet training and an awareness of personal hygiene.

Ensure that the nursery meets safety and hygiene requirements and to report any issues to a senior member of staff or the EYFS Lead Teacher.
