EYFS/Reception Class Teacher job summary

Early Years / Reception Class Teacher - Required from September 2026

Fixed term post for a year. ECTs welcome to apply.

We are looking for a dynamic and creative teacher who is passionate about learning and the development of all children to become lifelong learners. We are excited to welcome you to join our team of positive and dedicated professionals who strive to be ACE in all that they do. We are looking for an individual experienced in and/or passionate about the Early Years.

You are ACE because :

You are positive and enthusiastic with an excellent ‘can-do’ attitude.

You have experience of working with pupils of varying abilities and ages.

You have good literacy and numeracy skills.

You are able to work well as part of a team.

You have good communication skills with adults and children.

You have a calm, consistent and caring approach to behaviour management.

You are confident in and passionate about EYFS and have experience/understanding of the EYFS Framework

Ability to plan play-based, child-led learning

Understanding of baseline assessment / early phonics
