What skills and experience we're looking for

Paxcroft Primary School is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic Early Years Foundation Stage Leader & Class Teacher to join their team. As a member of staff within our Trust, you will contribute to a collaborative working environment and play a key role in supporting the learning and development of all pupils.

As an Early Years Class Teacher, you will plan, prepare and deliver engaging, well-structured EYFS lessons that support children’s development across all areas of learning, using appropriate resources and teaching strategies. You will assess, monitor and record each child’s progress, using this information to adapt teaching and provide targeted support, including small group and one-to-one work. The role involves creating a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment, promoting positive behaviour, independence, and children’s social and emotional wellbeing. You will work closely with Teaching Assistants, directing their work effectively, and collaborate with colleagues, leaders, and external professionals to support all learners, including those with additional needs. Building strong relationships with parents and carers is essential, ensuring clear communication about children’s progress, well-being, and development. You will be responsible for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils, maintaining accurate records and following all school policies, including health and safety procedures. In addition, you will contribute to the wider life of the school through enrichment activities, professional development, and upholding high standards of professionalism, teamwork, and practice.
