What skills and experience we're looking for
This position will particularly suit an Early Career Teacher (ECT) starting their career or someone in the early stages of their teaching career.
We are seeking to appoint an exceptional early years class teacher at Waynflete Infants’ School who is creative and passionate about children’s learning and has the desire and motivation to be an outstanding teacher. We are looking for a creative, fun and dedicated early years teacher who brings passion to their teaching and who will inspire our children. You will need to have taught in an EYFS setting /class and had experience of teaching within Key Stage 1 in order to have a clear understanding of age related expectations at the end of Key Stage 1.
The school teaches phonics using the Read Write Inc scheme and experience of using this is desirable.
What the school offers its staff
Due to the large numbers of reception children in Brackley requiring a school place we are taking a third class starting in the academic year 2024/2025 (September 24). The successful candidate will work as part of the very experienced EYFS team. There is dedicated PPA time each week which enables you to plan with the other EYFS teachers. In addition, Year R has a specialist PE teacher who works once a week with the children. Each class has a teaching assistant to support the children.
We are lucky to have an exceptional staff team, who support each other, work together and are proud to work at our school. In addition, we have amazing children and supportive families who are at the heart of our school community.
As an ECT there will be full support offered with a named mentor who will be available to guide, support and offer advice whenever it is needed.
