EYFS Teaching Assistant job summary
As an EYFS Teaching Assistant at Chestnut Park Primary School, you will play a key role in contributing to the delivery of Futura’s mission statement of “Building the brightest future for all, enabling every individual to flourish”. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about living our values and making a positive impact on all the young people in our Trust.
Chestnut Park Primary School is a growing and vibrant school community that first opened its doors in 2021. As we continue to establish ourselves, we are proud to have built a close-knit and supportive team, all committed to adapting and growing alongside the school. Currently catering for pupils up to Year 4, we also have a thriving pre-school provision for children aged 2–4 years. This role will be predominantly based within our Early Years setting, offering a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact during the foundational stages of our children’s education.
As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for:
Working with class/pre-school teachers to raise the learning and attainment of children.
Promote child independence, self-esteem and social inclusion.
Give support to children, individually, in groups or as a class (under the direction of the teacher), so they can access the curriculum, take part in learning and experience a sense of achievement.

We are a three-form entry primary school in the heart of Croydon, catering for children aged between 4 and 11. This year we will be at full capacity and will be welcoming our first year 6.
At Chestnut Park we have a passionate and dedicated team of staff who make great efforts to support the children to achieve their full potential by ensuring they are inspired by what they are learning. This is underpinned by an innovative tailored-made curriculum that has been created to engage, excite, and inspire the children. It gives them the opportunities and experiences, and teaches them a range of skills and knowledge to reinforce their love and passion for learning.
We are incredibly proud of our children at Chestnut Park and delighted to say that our children see our school as a safe place to be. Somewhere where they feel happy and valued. We continue to believe in setting the highest possible standards in everything we do, ensuring our children can be the best they can be through the embedded school values of: self-control, tolerance, respect, awareness of others, no one left out and growing friendships.
In June 2018 we were proud to be judged as OUTSTANDING in our Ofsted inspection - a true reflection of our tireless commitment to the children and their education journey.
