Location: Pelton Primary School

Grade 3

37 Hours per week term time plus 2 weeks

Help Every Child Reach Their Potential

Due to the growing needs of our pupils, we have two exciting opportunities for caring, dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join our team at Pelton Primary School.

Working as part of our inclusive and nurturing school community, you will support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to access learning, develop confidence, build independence and achieve their full potential.

About the Role

Working closely with teachers and the SENDCO, you will:

  • Support pupils with a range of additional needs, including ASC, SEMH and communication needs.
  • Deliver targeted interventions and personalised support.
  • Help create a nurturing, inclusive and engaging learning environment.
  • Promote pupils' independence, wellbeing and progress.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.

What We're Looking For

The successful candidate will have:

  • A Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent).
  • GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent).
  • Experience working with children in a school setting.
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEND.
  • Excellent communication skills and a patient, nurturing approach.
  • A commitment to inclusion and helping every child succeed.

Please note that we operate a probationary period of 4 months across all jobs in the Trust (see attached policy for further details). You will receive a comprehensive induction to support you to successfully pass your probation.
