What skills and experience we're looking for
The Governors of St Thomas More wish to appoint an outstanding, enthusiastic and highly motivated teacher to join our team from 1 September 2023. The post is a permanent F2 teacher with a temporary TLR3 for leadership of learning and teaching in F2 and Y1. The post holder will also be responsible for leading and managing transition from F1 to F2 and F2 to Y1. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to have input into the ongoing development of EYFS and Y1. We are looking for someone who:
- Is an outstanding practitioner who will enthuse, lead, develop and enhance the teaching practices of others across the phase through mentoring and coaching
- Is committed to upholding the Catholic ethos of our school
- Has EYFS experience
- Has strong motivation and the commitment and drive to continue to raise standards for all learners
- Is an effective organiser with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Has experience of leading effective staff development
- Is able to take a lead role, alongside the Senior Leadership Team, in the evaluation and monitoring of standards across the school
- committed to raising standards and ensuring children meet their full potential
There is an expectation the successful candidate will attend weekly SLT meetings and will undertake some tasks related to the post in their own time.
