What skills and experience we're looking for
We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, dynamic and highly skilled teacher to join our school to lead the Science Faculty.
You shall be joining a very successful and supportive department. All three Sciences continue to be popular choices at KS5. A background in Chemistry or Physics would be an advantage.
You will have an excellent knowledge of the curriculum and curriculum design to ensure that core powerful knowledge is embedded and developed across all Key Stages. You will be able to lead by example to promote high quality classroom practice and you will have the interpersonal skills to influence and develop colleagues within the faculty to deliver high quality teaching for every student.
The successful applicant will:
- Enhance teaching and learning within Science
- Lead and inspire a love of learning all three sciences
- Lead the planning and development of the Science curriculum
- Maximise progress and achievement through rigorous monitoring, intervention and review
- Be an example of best practice across all Key Stages
- Have energy, adaptability, resilience and the determination to make change and see things through
- Make a full contribution to the wider life of the school.
