Bodmin College is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, compassionate and highly organised Family Liaison Officer to join our dedicated pastoral team.

The successful candidate will play a key role in building positive and trusting relationships with students and their families, providing early support and helping to remove barriers to learning, attendance and engagement. Working closely with students, parents/carers, college staff and external agencies, you will provide a supportive link between home and college and help families access the appropriate support when it is needed.

The role will involve supporting families experiencing a range of challenges, promoting positive attendance and engagement, contributing to early intervention and safeguarding processes, and helping to ensure that every student has the opportunity to thrive.

We are looking for someone who is approachable, resilient, empathetic and confident in communicating with a wide range of people. You will need excellent organisational skills, the ability to build effective professional relationships and a commitment to improving outcomes for children and young people.

It is a long term project which will help us to deliver our vision for excellent education in the local area.
