Family Liaison Officer job summary

Do you thrive on building strong relationships and creating a supportive, inclusive school community? Salisbury Road Primary School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Liaison Officer to join our friendly and committed team.

As Family Liaison Officer, you will play a key role in supporting children and families to overcome barriers to learning and wellbeing. You will work closely with pupils, parents/carers, staff, and external agencies to promote attendance, engagement, and positive outcomes for all.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build trusting relationships with families to provide advice, support, and early intervention.

  • Promote and monitor good attendance and punctuality, including home visits where appropriate.

  • Support the emotional wellbeing of children and act as a link between home and school.

  • Signpost and refer families to appropriate services and community resources.

  • Work collaboratively with school staff and external professionals to ensure coordinated support.

      Salisbury Road is two form entry primary school that serves the locality of St Judes, near the city centre. We are situated in a large, three-storey, Victorian building in the heart of the community, and work closely with many local partners.
