As a Family Support Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in helping children and families thrive. You’ll work across nine schools and in the heart of our community, building strong relationships and delivering meaningful support where it’s needed most.

In this impactful role, you will:

  • Be a champion for children and families, supporting them through challenges and helping them achieve sustainable, positive outcomes.
  • Collaborate with schools, families, and support services to improve attendance, engagement, and outcomes for young people.
  • Work within Devon’s Early Help Framework, ensuring the highest-quality support at the earliest stage.
  • Bring creativity and flexibility to every situation, meeting families where they are and empowering them to grow.
  • Make a difference in the lives of children with complex needs, working with empathy, skill, and determination.

About You

You’re the right fit for this role if you:

  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage meaningfully with children, families, and professionals.
  • Are an experienced teaching assistant in supporting school-aged children with complex needs.
  • Are a team player with the confidence to work independently when needed.
