What skills and experience we're looking for
- Experience of working with children, young people and families in a child protection/ safeguarding and support context
- To have administration work experience in or out of a school setting.
- Minimum of NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) qualification in working with children, families and young people or in health & social care.
- Training related to Safeguarding, domestic abuse, and substance mis-use.
- An understanding of family dynamics and how parenting affects the development of the child
- To understand confidentiality and adhere to relevant policy and procedures.
- Thorough understanding of Safeguarding Children, Young People and Vulnerable adults.
- To understand and adhere to Health & Safety and lone working policies and procedures.
- A good understanding of service delivery issues in a multi-agency, multi-disciplinary context
- Knowledge and understanding (EHA) Early Help Assessment
- Understanding of the basic principles of the Children’s act 2004 and relevant childcare legislation.

Longsight Community Primary opened as a single form entry free school in September 2013. The school moved into a new permanent build in September 2014. Our Trust, Big Life Schools consists of two schools across Manchester.
We are in Longsight, with strong roots within the community, developed from our connection with The Big Life Group, who deliver services including children’s centres and a private nursery.
