Family Support Worker job summary
The successful candidate will be required to work under the direction of the headteacher, SENCo and SLT to support the wider wellbeing and welfare of pupils in order that they are ready and eager to learn. In addition, the this the role involves managing the daily and wider attendance and admission issues across the school. The successful candidate will also form part of the safeguarding team and liaise with the local cluster to provide Early Help support for families. Experience of this role would be beneficial. An important part of your job will be to collaborate with other professionals in school, so it is important that you are able to work well with other people. We are looking for someone who is keen to make a difference to pupils and the community. It would be helpful if you have a natural ability in building rapport with pupils. As a family support worker in our school, you will be expected to support pupils and families across the school as and when needed therefore the ability to be flexible and adapt to the needs to the school and its pupils is a priority. The successful candidate will also form part of our Outdoor Play and Learning Team (OPAL) at lunchtimes and support children when playing.
