Location: Ark Alexandra Academy, Hastings, East Sussex

Salary: Ark Outside London Support Scale 8, Pay Points 20-28: £30,295 to £36,648 (pro rata)

Actual salary: £26,058.78 – £31,523.42

Hours: Full Time - 36 hours per week, term time only (39 weeks per year)

Contract: Fixed term to 31 December 2024 due to funding

Would you like to be instrumental in helping remove barriers to student progress and development?

This is a rare opportunity to join a new attendance team working across Hastings Primary and Secondary Schools to improve attendance and re-engage pupils with their education.  The successful candidate will have a key role in supporting schools and families to overcome challenges that cause low attendance. Once established in the role, the successful candidate will also assess, develop and deliver programmes and interventions for targeted students to increase their motivation and address the social, emotional & mental health needs of students to remove barriers to their progress and development.

We need someone who is proactive, has excellent communication skills, is experienced in establishing successful learning relationships with young people and adults and has a genuine passion for and belief in the potential of every student. The ability to remain calm and professional under pressure in a busy environment is essential.

This is a fixed term role created through external funding with a specific project focus to improve attendance.   The Partnership Attendance Lead and Attendance Co-Ordinator roles are also fixed term roles which have been developed specifically for this project.
