Family Support Worker job summary
Do you want to be part of a school community on a journey from good to outstanding, and to make a difference to outcomes for all students?
We are seeking to appoint an individual to work within our Pastoral Team supporting students and their families in order to promote positive engagement with school.
The aim of the post is to ensure good attendance and academic progress. This support will involve:
- working with specifically identified families
- working with students, either on a 1:1 basis or in small groups,
- offering intervention to support improvements in behaviour, attitudes, and attendance
- working with other parties or agencies as appropriate
This post is fixed for two years, in the first instance, as part of the schools COVID Recovery Plan. It would suit an individual looking for a career in education, youth work or social care.
